YPPSYS College Football Game Predictions and Results - 2008 Season - Week 13 - Week and Weekend of Saturday, November 22, 2008
There is no way that Alabama should be ranked Number 1 this year. The pollsters are favoring a weak SEC whose Tennessee lost to Wyoming and whose LSU trailed Troy State 31-3 in the 3rd quarter. According to the Massey Ratings, the Crimson Tide has played only the 51st hardest schedule in Division I-A FBS football and according to Sagarin the 72nd hardest schedule. In spite of that, their net yards per play average is substantially below figures achieved by teams that have played a much tougher s

Via the San Francisco Chronichle: Officials say they evacuated an Akron, Ohio, elementary school when a kindergartner brought what looked like a hand grenade for show and tell. The boy gave a clue Friday that his item was something that blows things up. The teacher looked in his book bag and wasn't sure if what she was a real grenade or a toy. District spokeswoman Kare

OTT salutes the 2008 Football seniors
A quick basketball note: I made it up to the Eastern Michigan game tonight since my tickets didn't sell. Lewis Jackson certainly looks like the real deal. JaJuan looks so much more confident with the basketball and could be a beast for us. Rebounding is still an issue, but this team is even more balanced in scoring than I thought. every eight players in the main rotation are capable of starting and dropping 10-15 at any time. They turned it on after a slow start and simply blew an inferior team ou

The latest loss came Monday when Cleveland’s Phil Dawson hit a 56-yard field goal in the final two minutes to beat the Bills, 29-27. Buffalo had a chance to win it, but Rian Lindell missed wide right from 46 yards with 38 seconds left, reminding Buffalo fans of the painful m

He isn’t. He told reporters: “I don’t know if it’s still in the works, but that’s not my problem. Nets Collapse in Face of Cav Onslaught November 19, 2008, 12:15 am After playing the 8-2 Cavs to a standstill during the first half, the Nets went into snooze mode in the second half, scoring only 30 points to Cleveland’s 57 and turning a close game into a 24-point rout. Knicks, Nets Preparing To Lure LeBron James In 2010
LeBron James is coming to New Jersey on Tuesday, and if the Nets are primping themselves for a courtship, they are running a bit tardy.
